10th Anniversary

So it dawned on me that I have been writing this blog for 10 years. Today, I officially mark the 10th year of me writing my thoughts here. What started as a "Hello World" persisted as a weekend hobby for a decade.

A decade is almost 30% of my life. A long time indeed. But as I grow old, I realize that time periods look smaller and smaller. So a year of my life used to be a significant time period when I was in school. Now even 5 years look small. I think that's what growing old is all about. In my teens anyone above the magical age of 25 looked old to me. Now in my late 30s, everyone looks young (may be the early 70s are the old people for me as of now!).

Life goes on. Thank you for reading my thoughts. And thank you for being with me in this journey.

  1. Congratulations, Girish... Really proud of you for staying active. Even if you don't believe it, it really is a big deal to follow some rules in life or kinda fulfill commitment to yourself. Not everyone can do. All the bloggers that I knew from 10 years ago (including myself) are kinda gone...except you.

But 1 thing... A decade is 30% of your life? how's that? if 30% is 10 years, 100% is 33 years... ? right ?? or am I doing wrong math ?

    1. Thanks for your compliment Krupa. More than a commitment, this is a hobby (so to say). Rather than emailing people incessantly, I like writing over here.

Your math is perfect. That's correct. If decade is 30%, 33 years would be 100% of my life. And I ain't 33. So I put an "almost" before the statement. I may be more or may be less :)
